The BN 310-2RZ is a magnetic proximity switch with a rectangular housing, ideal for industrial applications requiring wear-free switching functionality. The housing is made of glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic, making the switch durable, robust, and resistant to environmental influences.

The switch operates on a magnetic principle and features a latching function with two latching contacts. It offers a minimum mechanical lifespan of 1 billion switching cycles, making it suitable for applications with high switching frequencies.
