The CSS 8-180-2P+D-M-LST safety sensor is a versatile inductive safety sensor that can be used as both an end or single device and in series connections. It meets high safety requirements according to EN ISO 13849-1, EN IEC 60947-5-3, and EN IEC 61508, achieving Performance Level (PL) e, Category 4, and suitability for applications up to SIL 3.

The sensor features two safe digital outputs and an additional diagnostic output. The integrated multi-color LED displays the sensor's status in green, red, and yellow. It supports series connections of up to 16 sensors without compromising safety. The typical switching distance is 8 mm, with secured switching distances of 7 mm (ON) and 10 mm (OFF).

The housing is made of glass-fiber reinforced thermoplastic, ensuring durability. The sensor connects via an 8-pin M12 connector for both input and output. It has protection ratings of IP65 and IP67, making it ideal for use in industrial environments.
