The CSS 8-180-2P-E-LST safety sensor is a reliable inductive sensor designed for use in safety-critical applications. It monitors safety systems such as doors or flaps in machines and equipment, meeting high safety standards according to EN ISO 13849-1, EN IEC 60947-5-3, and EN IEC 61508. The sensor achieves Performance Level (PL) e and Category 4, making it suitable for applications up to SIL 3.

With a cylindrical shape (M18 thread) and a robust housing made of glass-fiber reinforced thermoplastic, the sensor is highly durable. The typical switching distance is 8 mm, with secured switching distances of 7 mm (ON) and 10 mm (OFF). The integrated multi-color LED displays the status in green, red, and yellow. The sensor supports series connections of up to 16 sensors.
