Magnetic Switch BN 85-5-2031

The magnetic switch BN 85-5-2031 from Schmersal is a reliable switching element based on a magnetic operating principle. Thanks to its robust construction made of glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic, this switch is particularly suited for elevator technology applications. With a mechanical lifespan of at least 1 billion switching cycles, the BN 85-5-2031 is ideal for use in demanding, long-term installations.

The switch features a latching function and can be equipped with up to five latching contacts. The actuating magnet works on the front-facing plane, triggering the switching operation. The BN 85-5-2031 has a variable switching distance of 1 to 14 mm, which can be affected by the arrangement and influence of ferromagnetic materials.

The electrical connection is made via a 10-pin plug connector, allowing for easy integration into existing systems. The switch supports switching voltages from 12 to 60 VDC with a maximum switching current of 1 A and a maximum switching power of 30 W.

The BN 85-5-2031 has a status indicator and is particularly suitable for elevator technology applications. Please note that the BP 7 actuator is sold separately and is not included in the delivery scope.
