The PLANET VC-231 is a high-performance Ethernet-over-VDSL2 converter that delivers 100/100Mbps symmetric speeds over existing telephone lines — without any rewiring. Supporting ITU-T G.993.2 VDSL2 profiles 17a and 30a, the device is designed for long-reach Ethernet extension applications, using simple two-wire copper cabling.
With a compact design, plug-and-play setup, and a selectable CO/CPE mode via DIP switch, the VC-231 is ideal for extending networks across large buildings, campus environments, and older infrastructures. It also enables simultaneous telephone and data transmission with the included splitter for POTS voice sharing.
This solution is perfectly suited for triple-play services such as IPTV, VoIP, and high-speed Internet — making it a cost-effective alternative to fiber in legacy deployments.
