The PLANET QSFP-40G series offers high-performance QSFP+ (Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable) transceivers specifically engineered for 40Gbps duplex data links over optical fiber. Fully compliant with the QSFP+ MSA (Multi-Source Agreement), these transceivers support hot-plugging and can be installed or removed without disrupting the system’s operation.
The QSFP-40G-SR4 module is optimized for short-range applications over multi-mode fiber with MPO/MTP connectors, providing distances of up to 150 meters. The QSFP-40G-LR4 is designed for long-range deployments using single-mode fiber and LC connectors, supporting transmissions up to 10 kilometers.
Each transceiver includes advanced Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM), giving administrators real-time visibility into operational parameters such as temperature, laser bias current, optical input/output power, and voltage.
