The PLANET MC-1500R is a high-density 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) rack-mountable media converter chassis that provides 15 slots for installing PLANET’s wide range of Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, VDSL2, and Serial-over-Ethernet converters. Designed for flexible deployment and efficient media conversion, the chassis is ideal for centralized fiber infrastructure such as FTTx, campus, or enterprise networks.

Each bay features an independent power feed, allowing converters to be hot-swapped without affecting other devices. The MC-1500R includes an AC power unit (100–240V), while the MC-1500R48 includes a –48V DC unit. Both support redundant power modules for uninterrupted operation. Integrated cooling is ensured via two internal fans, and system/fan status is monitored via front-panel LEDs.
