APC Metered Rack PDUs optimize energy use and protect circuits through active measurement. Users can set alarm thresholds and receive real-time warnings about potential circuit overloads on the device and on remote systems. Metered Rack PDUs provide energy consumption data so data center managers can make informed decisions about load balancing and proper sizing of IT environments and reduce total cost of ownership. The devices have numerous functions and features: active power monitoring, temperature/humidity sensor connection, IEC sockets with locking and ultra-flat circuit breakers. Metered Rack PDUs are configured via a secure web connection or SNMP or Telnet interface.
