Safety Control Device SR3D – Flexible Safety Relay with Three Secure Relay Outputs

The SR3D is a universally applicable safety control device that enables the safe shutdown of moving machine parts in hazardous situations. With its three secure, redundant, and diverse relay outputs, it ensures the fast and reliable stoppage of machines and systems. The SR3D is ideal for single- or dual-channel emergency stop circuits as well as for the monitoring of protective guards on machinery.

Specifically designed for use in combustion systems in accordance with EN 50156-1 and EN 746-2, as well as for use on ships, the device meets the highest safety standards. Certifications from TÜV Rheinland and Germanischer Lloyd confirm compliance with international safety standards.

Functions:



• Monitoring and Safe Shutdown:
- The SR3D monitors the status of the emergency stop circuit (e.g., safety door or emergency stop button).
- When the emergency stop circuit is closed, the machine is enabled.
- If the safety function is requested (e.g., by opening the safety door), the SR3D immediately interrupts the release paths, ensuring the machine is safely shut down.


• Self-Monitoring:
- The SR3D detects errors through cyclical self-monitoring.
- Errors are detected no later than during the next request of the safety function, ensuring that single faults do not result in the loss of the safety function.
