Description:
The extension cards EPR16-RE and EPR16-OK enhance the digital output capabilities of the EPR16 and EPR16S controllers. The EPC16 controller already includes integrated transistor outputs and is therefore only compatible with the Relay Card EPR16-RE.
Relay Card EPR16-RE:
- 16 digital relay outputs
- Watch-Dog output as a potential-free relay contact
- All relay contacts protected by 250V-varistors
- Two galvanically isolated contact blocks:
- Block 1: Outputs 1–8 and Watch-Dog
- Block 2: Outputs 9–16
- Can operate with different voltages
Power Optocoupler Card EPR16-OK:
- 16 electronic transistor outputs
- Watch-Dog output as a 0.5A transistor output
- Outputs galvanically isolated via optocouplers
- Short-circuit proof and overheat protected
- Two contact blocks with common connections:
- Block 1: Outputs 1–8 and Watch-Dog
- Block 2: Outputs 9–16
- Maximum continuous current per output: 0.5A
- Automatic reset after overload removal
- External operating voltage: DC 10–30V
- Load connected between output (A1–A16) and 0V
Installation and Connections:
- Directly connects to the OUTPUT socket of the EPR16, EPR16S, and EPC16 controllers
- Secured with included screws to designated mounting bolts
- Power supply for relays provided by the controller
- Notes:
- Ensure proper seating of the detachable terminal block connectors
- Inductive loads (e.g., solenoids, contactors) require protective circuits (RC network or varistor)
