Description:

The extension cards EPR16-RE and EPR16-OK enhance the digital output capabilities of the EPR16 and EPR16S controllers. The EPC16 controller already includes integrated transistor outputs and is therefore only compatible with the Relay Card EPR16-RE.

Relay Card EPR16-RE:

• 16 digital relay outputs
• Watch-Dog output as a potential-free relay contact
• All relay contacts protected by 250V-varistors
• Two galvanically isolated contact blocks:
- Block 1: Outputs 1–8 and Watch-Dog
- Block 2: Outputs 9–16

• Can operate with different voltages

Power Optocoupler Card EPR16-OK:

• 16 electronic transistor outputs
• Watch-Dog output as a 0.5A transistor output
• Outputs galvanically isolated via optocouplers
• Short-circuit proof and overheat protected
• Two contact blocks with common connections:
- Block 1: Outputs 1–8 and Watch-Dog
- Block 2: Outputs 9–16

• Maximum continuous current per output: 0.5A
• Automatic reset after overload removal
• External operating voltage: DC 10–30V
• Load connected between output (A1–A16) and 0V

Installation and Connections:

• Directly connects to the OUTPUT socket of the EPR16, EPR16S, and EPC16 controllers
• Secured with included screws to designated mounting bolts
• Power supply for relays provided by the controller
• Notes:
- Ensure proper seating of the detachable terminal block connectors
- Inductive loads (e.g., solenoids, contactors) require protective circuits (RC network or varistor)
