Application:
Halogen-free power cables with improved fire performance are used wherever special protection against fire and fire damage for people and property is required and high safety requirements must be met. The cables can be laid indoors, in air or concrete; direct laying in the ground or water is not permitted. However, laying in a pipe is permitted if precautions are taken to ensure that no water collects in the pipe. These cables are suitable for connecting devices of protection class II. When laying, care must be taken to protect the cables from external influences and mechanical damage. The cable has passed the functional integrity test according to DIN 4102 Part 12 (E30) for all standard support systems (cable trays and ladders, ceiling installation) and is therefore suitable for use in fire alarm systems, systems for alerting and giving instructions to people, emergency lighting and other backup lighting in accordance with VDE 108. The test certificate from an official materials testing institute can be provided on request. When planning cable systems with functional integrity, it must be noted that the conductor resistance at a temperature of 800 °C (final temperature for E30 testing) is approximately 4 times higher than at 20 °C.
