The SAT2IDEADP SATA to IDE hard drive adapter allows for 2.5in/3.5in IDE-based (PATA) hard drives (HDD) to be used in most StarTech.com SATA-based HDD docking stations and drive duplicators. The unique mounting style of the SATA/IDE adapter enables it to be easily mounted to IDE/ATA hard drive and inserted into SATA hard drive dock bay, for quick and easy retrieval of data from older HDDs while its all- metal construction ensures maximum durability. Fully compatible with both 2.5in and 3.5in form factor hard drives and up to ATA-133 (133 MBps), this versatile HDD adapter can also be used to install IDE hard drives into SATA-only desktop computers, or many other scenarios that require an IDE HDD be connected through SATA.
