The Fiber OTDR Xpert 5000 is specifically designed for installers and operators of enterprise networks and is optimized to measure fiber networks, document and find fault. Both multimode and singlemode fibers, the fiber Xpert OTDR 5000 offers a very high resolution with one of the smallest dead zones, making a standard-compliant measurement even of short transmission distances possible. Automatic analysis functions simplify the use and make you an expert in matters of fiberglass.
Highly accurate overlooking small details
The Fiber OTDR Xpert 5000 Psiber Data has a high dynamic range and low deadband and is specially designed for the measurement of relatively short fiber links as found in enterprise networks and data centers use. With a Eventtotzone of less than 80cm is the Fiber Xpert able to evaluate even short consecutive connectors and highly accurately measured. A short measurement time in which a high resolution is achieved, makes the measurement of the fiber optic lines very efficiently. This saves money and resources.
Ease of use and analysis
The device can be operated freely handed thanks to the special bag. This facilitates handling when the user wants to measure fiber links at different levels without the measuring tool on and degrade. The results are displayed graphically on the 12,7 cm ( 5 inch ) large touchscreen and can be easily analyzed and stored accordingly. There is an automatic event detection available in all the events of the fiber path automatically displayed and analyzed on pass / fail.
Extended measurement functions
Additional measurement features such as attenuation measurement and optical power meter allow the accurate determination of the path loss and measuring the output power of active components such as switches. The optional fiber microscope allows you to document the quality of the plug surface after installation. This is especially useful in warranty or an error occurs.
