The cylindrical magnetic sensor BN 12-10Z/V by K.A. Schmersal GmbH & Co. KG is a high-quality magnetic position switch, ideal for use in elevator systems and industrial machinery. With a robust design and a minimum mechanical lifetime of 10 million switching cycles, this sensor offers exceptional reliability.

The BN 12-10Z/V operates with a pre-tension magnet and features a normally open (NO) contact, which depends on the direction and polarity of the actuator magnet. The sensor is centrally mounted with an M12 x 1 threaded flange and comes with a 1-meter cable with a LiYY jacket material. It is rated IP67, making it suitable for harsh environments, and can withstand temperatures from -25 to +70 °C.

Depending on the actuator magnet used, the sensor achieves a switching distance of up to 55 mm. Compatible actuators include BP 10 S, BP 34 S, and BE 20 S. The sensor is equipped with a reed contact that supports a maximum switching voltage of 200 VAC and a maximum current of 1 A.
