The BN 310-RZ from Schmersal is a magnetic proximity switch with latching function, specially designed for use in safety-critical applications, such as elevator systems. The switch is robust and durable, with a minimum mechanical lifespan of 1 billion switching cycles.

The rectangular housing is made of glass-fiber reinforced thermoplastic, providing high resistance to mechanical impacts. With an IP67 protection rating, the proximity switch is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in water.

The switch is side-actuated and equipped with a reed contact. It features a latching contact, ensuring the switch remains in position until it is actuated again.

The switching distance is up to 60 mm, depending on the actuator magnet used. The BN 310-RZ is compatible with various magnets, including BP 10, BP 15, and BP 21.

Important Note: The switch should be mounted on a non-magnetic spacer of at least 20 mm on iron surfaces. The actuator is not included in the delivery.
