The PLANET IPM-08220 is a vertical IP-based 8-port Switched Power Management (IPM) unit, delivering intelligent energy management aligned with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles. Designed for 0U rack mounting, it combines robust power control, environment sensing, and network-based remote management, making it ideal for enterprise and data center applications.

Seamlessly integrated with PLANET’s Universal Network Management System (UNI-NMS), the IPM-08220 allows IT administrators to centrally monitor all connected devices, power usage, and environmental factors. Its smart design promotes sustainability while enhancing operational reliability and efficiency.

Intelligent Power Control
Each of the 8 power outlets can be independently managed via web interface, SNMP, or directly from the device’s LCD panel. The display provides real-time data on voltage, current, energy, and environmental conditions, offering a clear overview of operational health.

Scheduled Power and Overload Protection
Automated power scheduling provides advance warnings and systematic shutdowns. The integrated 16A circuit breaker protects connected devices during overload situations, avoiding total power failure across all outlets—unlike traditional PDUs.

Environmental Monitoring and Safety
An RJ11 temperature/humidity sensor (included) enables precise ambient condition tracking. Additionally, 3 Digital Inputs and 2 Digital Outputs can be connected to smoke alarms, water leak detectors, or cabinet access controls for real-time alerts and active protection.

Cascade Connectivity & Energy Optimization
Cascade ports allow up to 255 units to be chained for comprehensive power distribution across racks. Real-time energy analytics help reduce consumption and operating costs while supporting sustainable operations.

Remote Management & Security
Equipped with a 10/100BASE-TX Ethernet port and accessible through major browsers (HTTPS), the IPM-08220 supports SNMP, NTP, and email alerts. Advanced security features include dynamic passwords, IP filtering, and multi-user role management.
