The LSC I+II lightning current meter records impulse currents and stores them permanently, along with the time and date. This means that there is a constant check to see whether lightning has struck the lightning protection system. If this is the case, the lightning protection system must be serviced in accordance with VDE 0185-305 (IEC 62305).
