The A52 and A53 are general-purpose RS-232 to RS-422/485 converters designed for industrial and professional users who need to extend serial communication over longer distances and integrate legacy serial devices into modern networking environments. Supporting RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 standards, the devices allow both 2-wire and 4-wire configurations.

Equipped with automatic data direction control (ADDC) for RS-485 and RTS/CTS hardware flow control, they ensure seamless communication. The A53 model adds 2 kV isolation for added protection in electrically noisy environments. With their compact size, lightweight plastic housing, and desktop form factor, the converters are easy to deploy and integrate.
