With the Medical Switch, MICROSENS sets new standards in terms of performance, reliability and security for data networks in medical technology, hospitals and practices. The device exceeds the strict requirements for electromagnetic compatibility. The network connections are galvanically decoupled by special isolators to protect patients and devices from residual currents from the network. For the particularly high demands on network security in the medical environment, the Medical Switch offers extensive security features so that confidential data remains confidential. The Medical Switch is based on the proven decentralized network architecture, the cost-effectiveness of which has been proven by independent reports and in numerous projects.
The freely accessible network ports of the MICROSENS Medical Micro-Switches are equipped with special, galvanically insulating transformers whose distance between primary and secondary connections is at least 8 mm. With a minimum voltage strength of 4000 volts and 2 MOPP insulation strength according to IEC/EN 60601-1, the insulators effectively prevent patients and medical staff from being endangered by interference and voltage flashovers.
The very compact switches are characterized by their extremely small space requirement and can be installed in different installation situations such as ceiling supply units. In addition to the product variant with an internal 230 VAC power supply, a medical micro switch is also offered for supply from external medical power supplies with 48 VDC. For the 48V version, the use of a separate medical power supply offers additional protection compared to the power supply device.
