Extend network range via fiber up to 550 mDirect transition from copper to fiber: RJ45-to-SFP conversion connects existing ports without new cabling.
Use Gigabit flexibly: 10/100/1000 Mb/s on copper and 1000Base-FX on fiber for different segments.
Fast troubleshooting: Link Fault Pass Through and status LEDs clearly indicate connection states.
Less configuration effort: Auto MDI/MDI-X and auto-negotiation simplify deployment.
Range up to 550 m: Multimode at 850 nm provides reliably stable links across buildings.
This compact media converter connects 10/100/1000Base-T over RJ45 to a fiber link via an SFP slot. With multimode fibers (850 nm), distances up to 550 m can be bridged, for example for connecting remote building sections or backbone transitions.
In professional IT environments, for on-site installations and in service deployments, existing copper cabling can be extended to fiber without structural modifications. In existing infrastructures of companies and public institutions, the conversion also provides a reliable connection over longer distances.
