Sources of interference, such as B. energy-saving lamps, LEDs and switching power supplies (power supplies, electronic ballasts) are being installed in ever-increasing numbers. These generate unwanted voltage and current disturbances that vary in strength on all lines. This can cause devices to malfunction or even be destroyed. Spontaneous failures caused by these faults are usually not immediately detected. The resulting downtime and repairs are sometimes associated with considerable costs. The filter dampens network-side harmonics and suppresses interference and protects the consumer from existing network interference.
