DRAGINO SDI-12 to LoRaWAN Converter
Overview
The Dragino SDI-12-LB is an SDI-12 to LoRaWAN converter developed for smart agriculture solutions.
SDI-12 (Serial Digital Interface at 1200 baud) is an asynchronous serial communication protocol for intelligent sensors that monitor environmental data. The SDI-12 protocol is widely used in agricultural sensors and weather stations.
SDI-12-LB has an SDI-12 interface and supports a 12V output to power external SDI-12 sensors. It can get the environmental data from the SDI-12 sensor and sends out the data via the wireless LoRaWAN protocol.
The LoRa wireless technology used in the SDI-12-LB allows the device to send data and achieve extremely long ranges at low data rates. It offers spread spectrum communication with extremely long range and high interference immunity with minimal power consumption.
SDI-12-LB is powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery, designed for long-term use of up to 5 years.
Each SDI-12 LB is pre-loaded with a set of unique keys for LoRaWAN registrations. These keys are registered on the local LoRaWAN server and the connection is established automatically after power on.
