Overview
The Dragino RS485-BL is an RS485 / UART to LoRaWAN converter for Internet of Things solutions. The user can connect an RS485 or UART sensor to the RS485-BL converter and Configure the RS485-BL to periodically read sensor data and upload it to the IoT server via the LoRaWAN network.
The RS485-BL can be connected to RS485 sensors, 3.3v/5v UART sensors or interrupt sensors. RS485-BL offers a 3.3V output and a 5V output to power external sensors. Both output voltages are controllable to minimize the overall power consumption of the system.
The RS485-BL is waterproof to IP67 and is powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery, designed for long-term use over several years.
The RS485-BL runs the LoRaWAN 1.0.3 standard in class A. It can achieve a long transmission range and can be easily integrated into LoRaWAN-compatible gateways and IoT servers.
Each RS485-BL is pre-loaded with a set of unique keys for LoRaWAN registration. These keys are registered with the local LoRaWAN server and the connection is established automatically after power on.
