Overview
The Dragino NSPH01 is an NB-IoT soil pH sensor for IoT in agriculture. It is designed to measure soil pH and soil temperature and send it to the platform to analyze the acidity or alkalinity of the soil. The probe is IP68 waterproof.
The NSPH01 probe consists of a solid AgCl reference electrode and a pH-sensitive pure metal electrode. It can determine the pH value of the soil with high accuracy and stable value. The NSPH01 probe can be buried in the ground for a long time.
NarrowBand Internet of Things (NB-IoT) is a standards-based Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) technology designed to enable a wide range of new IoT devices and services. NB-IoT significantly improves user device power consumption, system capacity and spectrum efficiency, especially in deep coverage.
NSPH01 supports various uplink methods such as TCP, MQTT, UDP and CoAP for different application needs.
NSPH01 is powered by a 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery, designed for long-term use of up to 5 years. (Battery life depends on the usage environment, update period and uplink method).
To use NSPH01, the user needs to check whether there is NB-IoT coverage in the installation area and which bands NSPH01 supports. If the local operator supports it, the user needs to obtain an NB-IoT SIM card from the local operator and install NSPH01 to get NB-IoT network connection.
