DRAGINO LMDS200-EU868 Distance and Level Detection
Overview
The Dragino LMDS200 is a LoRaWAN microwave radar distance sensor. It uses 24Ghz microwaves to detect the distance between the sensor and various objects. Compared to ultrasonic or lidar measurement method, microwave radar is more reliable in condensed and dusty environments. It can detect the correct distance even if there is water or thick dust on the sensor. The LMDS200 can be used in various scenarios, such as horizontal distance measurement, parking management system, object proximity and presence detection, intelligent trash can management system, robot obstacle avoidance, automatic control, sewerage, etc. The LMDS200 can measure two distances: the closest object and the next object behind the closest object.
LMDS200 supports the alarm function. The user can set the LMDS200 to send data at a short interval when the distance is outside the configured range. The LoRa wireless technology used in the LMDS200 enables devices to send data and achieve extremely long ranges at low data rates. It offers spread spectrum communication with extremely long range and high interference immunity with minimal power consumption.
The LMDS200 is powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery that is rated for long-term use of up to 5 years. Each LMDS200 is pre-loaded with a set of unique keys for LoRaWAN registrations. These keys are registered on the local LoRaWAN server, and the device automatically connects after power on.
