The DoorBird D2200E IP Video Door Station Engineering Edition is a professional door intercom system, specifically designed for demanding integration projects and customized door communication solutions. It enables integration behind custom front panels and combines intelligent video surveillance with professional access control and Smart-Home connectivity. The door station features a 5-MP-HDR camera with an 180° ultra-wide-angle lens, providing comprehensive visibility of the entry area. The night vision function with infrared LEDs and automatic night mode ensures reliable visitor detection even in darkness. A 4D motion sensor with individually adjustable range up to 10 meters detects movements precisely and activates the camera and audio system selectively. Communication takes place via full-duplex two-way audio with echo and noise suppression, ensuring clear, interference-free voice transmission.

Access control is supported by RFID readers for 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz, as well as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), allowing management of up to 3,000 transponders. Additionally, interfaces such as Wiegand, OSDP, and RS485 enable integration with external access systems. Two freely configurable relays allow control of doors, gates, or other switching operations. PoE support (IEEE 802.3at) provides power and network transmission over a single cable, simplifying installation. The door station is equipped with an open API and is compatible with numerous Smart-Home systems including KNX, Loxone, Home Assistant, Control4, Gira, Homematic, Nuki, and Synology, making it suitable for diverse applications in both residential and commercial environments.

The robust construction with IP65 protection rating (dust- and water-resistant) and IK08 impact resistance (5 Joule) makes the door station ideal for outdoor use. Installation can be done either surface-mounted or flush-mounted on the wall. Control is conveniently possible via smartphone, tablet, SIP phone, or compatible indoor station.
