Residual current circuit breakers (RCCBs) switch off the power supply when dangerously high residual currents occur. They thus protect people, animals and systems. DFS 2 are two-pole residual current circuit breakers for single-phase networks. In the standard version, the compact devices are two modules wide. They are available with many different residual current types and versions with rated currents of up to 125 A. The large double-deck terminals can also accommodate large conductor cross-sections. The tripped position of the multi-function switch toggle makes troubleshooting easier. The free label software helps with labeling. Type A switches are sensitive to pulse and alternating current. This function is independent of the mains voltage. Selective residual current circuit breakers are used in systems with staggered distributions. In the event of a fault, only the switch in whose system section the residual current is present trips. The selective RCCBs offer fire and fault protection (in the event of indirect contact), but not additional protection (direct contact, personal protection). Standard devices are designed for monitoring circuits with a rated voltage of 230 V and a rated frequency of 50 Hz. Properties: response delay for selective design, high immunity to surge fault currents and mains voltage-driven follow-on current pulses, tripping independent of mains and auxiliary voltage, sensitive to alternating and pulsating direct fault currents (type A), small size for all rated currents, high short-circuit strength, double-sided double-deck terminals for large conductor cross-sections and rail connection, switch position indicator, viewing window for labeling, multi-function switch toggle with three positions: 'on', 'off', 'tripped', connection C1, any neutral conductor position, mounting type: quick fastening on mounting rail, any installation position, any feed direction, areas of application: main distribution boards in extensive power supplies with TN-S, TT and TN-CS systems, e.g. B. for campsites, marinas, allotments, showgrounds. Selective residual current circuit breakers protect the cables from the main distribution board to the sub-distribution boards. They cannot be used in TN-C networks or to protect systems in which electronic equipment can cause smooth DC residual currents or residual currents with frequencies other than 50 Hz. Comprehensive protection is not provided here. For such applications, we recommend our universal current sensitive residual current circuit breakers (type B or B+). Note: To ensure selectivity of the RCCB, the rated residual current of the selective RCCB must be selected at least one level higher than that of the downstream instantaneous switch.
