The Cisco Meraki MX105-HW is a powerful SD-WAN security appliance designed specifically for deployment at the network edge of larger sites. As a central security and networking platform, it offers a firewall throughput of 3 Gbps and a site-to-site VPN throughput of 1 Gbps, making it suitable for demanding enterprise environments with high data traffic. The appliance combines advanced networking features with integrated security to ensure a reliable, scalable, and easily manageable infrastructure. With a variety of network connections, including two 10-GbE SFP+-ports and two 2.5-GbE RJ45-ports (one with PoE, i.e., power over Ethernet), it enables flexible connections to various WAN and LAN networks. The LAN side features four GbE RJ45-ports and two additional 10-GbE SFP+-ports, providing high bandwidth and flexibility for internal network design. Device management is performed via the Meraki Cloud platform, which enables centralized, user-friendly control and monitoring.
