With the USB to RS485 converter, devices with a serial UART interface can be connected to USB quickly and easily. The transparent USB connector contains LEDs to display the Tx and Rx data traffic on the cable. The other end of the cable consists of bare tinned wire connectors. In conjunction with our configuration software, the MR series Modbus devices can be connected and configured directly. The converter is USB and USB 2.0 Full Speed compatible and supports a data transfer rate of up to 3 Mbit/s. The required USB-RS485 drivers are available for free download at http://www.ftdichip.com.
