RS-232 Modem Splitter Cards

Designed for the 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) chassis TL400A, these cards split data from a single modem or port to up to seven users per card.

Use the RS-232 Modem Splitter Card with the 2U Rackmount Chassis (TL400A) to efficiently connect up to four terminals to a single modem.

This setup saves the expense of purchasing and installing multiple modems and modem lines. It’s easy to configure, with no user-configurable switches, jumpers, or settings on the splitter. Simply connect the modem and terminal (DTE) devices to the card, then power up your modem and terminals as usual.

The master port connects to the modem via an RJ-45 straight-through cable and the appropriate RJ or DB adapter, while the other ports connect to DTE terminal devices.

Note: Only one terminal device can send data to the modem at any given time.
