Ultra Secure Multimode A/B/C/D Switch
Simple to use – route signals by turning the front panel knob. The Ultra Secure Multimode A/B/C/D Switch uses reliable micro-mirror technology and operates entirely optically, eliminating the need for optical-to-electrical conversion. It provides a secure, long-lasting solution for mission-critical applications.
    - Micro-mirrors transmit data optically and in full duplex between ports
    - No optical-to-electrical conversion needed; mirrors direct data streams seamlessly
    - Micro-mirrors are bonded to precision servos for stable operation in mission-critical environments
    - Connects a single workstation to up to 4 networks or remote devices
    - Transparent operation regarding data rates, formats, and wavelengths – no upgrades needed when protocols change or speeds increase
    - Warranty: 1-Year Double Diamond™ (Standard)
Reliability through Pure Optical Switching:
The Ultra Secure Multimode A/B/C/D Switches are highly reliable, using micro-mirrors instead of electronics to route data. Without complex electronic circuits, risks like monitoring, failures, and interference are eliminated, making it a trusted choice for secure applications.
The switch is available in two versions – latching and non-latching. The latching model mechanically holds the selected position during power loss. The non-latching version automatically switches back to Common-to-A position if power is lost.
Latching Technology:
The Latching Fibre Optic Switches are full-duplex and work optically. The A/B model, for instance, enables connecting a workstation to two different networks (one at a time). A front panel rotary knob allows the user to choose between Port A or B as the connection to the COMMON port. Micro-mirrors redirect the light beam between network ports without converting optical signals to electronic, making it transparent to data rates and protocols.
Applications:
This switch is ideal where a selected connection must remain active during power failure. Use the non-latching version for applications needing fallback to a pre-set connection. These switches only use power for switching; no power is required for data transmission. They are ideal for government, healthcare, financial, and other data-sensitive networks connecting to public networks.
