The USB Ultimate Extender over CATx extends USB 2.0 connections up to 100 meters over CATx cable, providing reliable USB connectivity in large installations. This extender supports USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices such as printers, scanners, hard drives, touchscreens, audio equipment, or webcams, and requires no driver installation. Thanks to true Plug & Play functionality, it is extremely easy to install and ready to use right out of the box.

The “Mass Storage Acceleration” feature enables accelerated data transfer for high-capacity USB 2.0 devices. The extender is compatible with major operating systems, including Windows, MacOS, and Linux, and is ideal for USB applications in industrial control, KVM extension, digital signage, security, and medical fields. It also supports Genesys hubs for maximum connectivity.

The IC402A-R2 version with 2 USB ports powers the remote unit through the CAT5 cable, allowing for flexible installation without the need for a power outlet near the remote hub. Each port is powered with 750 mA. The 4-port IC400A-R2 version includes an external power supply, delivering 1 A per USB port (or 600 mA when all four ports are in use). The local unit requires no additional power for operation.
