The EtherLink II DSL modem series from BLACK BOX provides a powerful and reliable solution for building a Metro Ethernet network. With support for the 802.3ah standard and G.SHDSL.BIS, EtherLink II can achieve data rates up to 5.7 Mbps over 3.5 km. For longer distances or lower line quality, it automatically switches to G.SHDSL mode, which ensures stable transmissions over extended ranges.

Designed as a managed Ethernet switch with Layer-2 functions, VLAN support, and Spanning Tree (RSTP), EtherLink II offers flexible, efficient network management. The models also provide comprehensive management options via console, Telnet, and SNMP protocols, enabling remote monitoring and configuration.
