This robust media converter is perfect for extending your network over fiber while also powering a PoE+ device. Use it to link remote PoE+ devices such as IP security cameras, wireless access points, or VoIP phones.

Fiber Options:

All models of the Gigabit PoE+ PSE Media Converters feature two autosensing 10/100/1000 UTP ports. Fiber-side options include: LGC5211A with a multimode fiber port to extend a network connection up to 550 meters; LGC5212A with a single-mode fiber port for distances up to 15 kilometers; LGC5210A with an SFP port for customizable interfaces, including multimode or single-mode fiber or Gigabit copper, using a standard SFP.

Power over Ethernet:

Both UTP ports support 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus, allowing the converter to power a PoE+ PD device.

Power Options:

The Gigabit PoE Media Converter can be powered in three ways: from an AC power supply (LGC5210-PS included), via the DC power jack, or the DC terminal block. Using DC power on the terminal block, the converter supports an extended operating temperature range from 0 to +70 °C.

The converter requires only one power source to power both the converter and a PoE+ device; place the PoE+ device up to 100 meters (328 feet) from the converter, allowing flexible positioning of wireless APs and security cameras. A pair of input and output terminals enables DC power cascading in a DIN rail installation (optional DIN Rail Clip (LXC-DR) sold separately).
