The BlackBox AVSP-DVI1X2 is a DVI-D splitter with integrated audio and HDCP support, duplicating a single HD video and stereo audio signal to two outputs. The device is designed for use in professional environments where reliable and distortion-free signal reproduction is required, such as in retail and corporate digital signage, production studios, engineering offices, training rooms, or government command centers. Signal splitting occurs in the Single-Link DVI-D format, ensuring transmission of high-resolution video up to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) or 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) as well as 1920 x 1080 (1080p). However, the maximum resolution depends on the quality and length of the DVI cables used and the compatibility of the connected AV devices.

Functions and features in detail
The splitter supports the transmission of HDCP-protected content, making it suitable for use with Blu-ray players and other devices employing copy protection mechanisms. EDID support enables automatic adjustment of video output to match the characteristics of connected displays, achieving optimal image quality. Audio transmission occurs via a 3.5 mm stereo input and two 3.5 mm stereo outputs, ensuring the audio signal is synchronized with the video signal on both outputs. LED indicators include a dual-color Power/Video OK indicator and two separate Video Output LEDs, allowing visual monitoring of operational status and signal transmission.

Power supply is provided via an input range of 100 to 240 VAC, enabling worldwide use. The splitter delivers an output voltage of 9 VDC at a current of 0.6 A. Maximum power consumption is 2.8 W. The device’s cascading capability allows multiple splitters to be linked to increase the number of outputs, for example, by connecting AVSP-DVI1X2 modules to create a 1x4 or 1x8 system. Compatibility and accessories
The device is equipped with DVI-D connectors designed for digital video signal transmission in Single-Link format. Combining it with other models in the series, such as the AVSP-DVI1X4 or AVSP-DVI1X8, allows flexible expansion of the number of outputs. Rack-mountable variants AVSP-DVI1X4A and AVSP-DVI1X8A are intended for use in server or rack systems; rack mounting brackets are included with the AVSP-DVI1X8A, while they are optional for the AVSP-DVI1X4A.

Installation and mounting
Installation is performed using the designated DVI-D and 3.5 mm audio connectors. Power supply is connected via an external power adapter rated for 100–240 VAC. The LED indicators provide visual feedback on signal transmission and operational readiness. The device dimensions are 2 cm height, 18 cm width, and 8.5 cm depth. Mounting typically occurs on a flat surface; rack mounting is not provided for the AVSP-DVI1X2 model.
