The AXIS P7316 is a 16-channel video encoder that integrates analog surveillance systems into IP-based networks. It is designed to convert analog video and audio signals into digital IP streams, thereby extending existing camera installations with the benefits of network surveillance. The encoder is designed for use in rack systems and supports standard and HD analog cameras with a maximum resolution of up to 4K. It enables control of PTZ cameras via RS485, allowing remote control of pan, tilt, and zoom functions over the network.

Compatible accessories include power cables (TU6011), power supply unit (PSU PS-P T-C), connectors and couplings for cabling, and Surveillance Cards in various storage sizes (128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB) for storing video and audio data. Audio accessories such as microphones (TU1001-V, TU1001-VE) can be added to improve voice transmission.

Installation is carried out in standard rack systems, with physical installation facilitated by the rack mounting option. Configuration is performed using network management tools, with detailed steps described in the manufacturer’s manual.
