The PWM function signals via the motherboard exactly at which speed the fan must run. This guarantees maximum cooling performance with minimal noise.
The ARCTIC F14 PWM PST CO fan is known for good airflow with a pleasant noise level. A great improvement can be seen in the motor and controller. Our German engineers have further developed the fan to operate at a lower speed when the power is not needed. Many motherboards do not offer PWM signals below 40% and thus make the cooler unnecessarily loud - not the case with the F14 PWM PST CO.
Patented PWM Sharing Technology (PST) reduces the noise level
If you want to improve the efficiency of your PC cooling, you can also connect several case fans in parallel (only with 10 fans the noise level is twice as loud). But what good is that if they don't work together? The PST function ensures that all case fans work on one signal. For example, you share your CPU cooler PWM signal and ensure that your case fans only turn up and down when necessary.
