FENA-21 Ethernet adapter module
FENA-21 from the F series is an Ethernet adapter module with two ports that supports various communication protocols such as: PROFINET IO, Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP. The protocol is selected via a parameter in the frequency converter.
PROFINET
The Ethernet adapter module FENA-21 supports PROFINET IO DP-V1 communication. With the FENA-01/-11 module, the PROFINET network can use either the PROFIdrive or the ABB Drives profile. In addition, there are two transparent operating modes - for 16-bit or 32-bit words.
Ethernet/IP
The Ethernet adapter module FENA acts as an Ethernet/IP server and supports the ODVA AC/DC Drive, ABB Drives and Transparent profiles. The adapter module supports both explicit messaging, where each attribute of a class is set individually, and implicit messaging with input/output instances.
Modbus TCP
The adapter module acts as a Modbus/TCP server and supports the ABB Drives and Transparent profiles. Common read/write function codes for single and multiple registers are supported.
