Impulse switches are electromagnetically operated devices that can be used to control lighting in a simple, energy-saving and safe way. Impulse switches are usually controlled using impulse buttons where the light is to be controlled from at least three different locations. Each control pulse that is sent to the coil-magnet system switches the device back to the previous position and holds it mechanically until the next control pulse. In the event of a power failure, it is guaranteed that the last switch position is held mechanically. This technology helps to significantly reduce the electrical power loss and power consumption of the devices. The very quiet switching noises make impulse switches suitable for use in public buildings, hotels and private homes. Depending on the type, the devices can be controlled with common control voltages and are designed for a rated current of 16 A or 32 A.
