Powerful automation programs can be executed based on the globally standardized IEC 61131 programming languages. Both graphical and textual programming languages are supported. The ABB Automation Builder programming software based on the established Codesys software enables easy creation and reuse of automation programs as well as the integration of software libraries. The ABB Automation Builder is integrated into the ETS via an ETS app.
Up to 1000 KNX communication objects can be used in the automation program. The KNX-relevant settings such as the physical address, linking the controller communication objects with group addresses and the KNX transmission conditions are made in the ETS and can also be changed at any time without ABB Automation Builder.
The building automation controller has two Ethernet network interfaces. The use can be flexibly configured. In addition to KNXnet/IP communication, these can also be used for other protocols and functions. Among other things, for TCP mode and a web server with a freely configurable web interface for displaying and operating the system.
The controller has a built-in display, an RS-232/485 interface for Modbus, among others. The internal clock and the data variables can be buffered by a battery. The internal memory of 8 MB can be expanded using the memory card slot.
