The Split Unit Gateway forms the interface between the KNX system and air conditioning units from many manufacturers, so-called split units. The device converts the KNX telegrams into infrared commands and sends them to the split unit.
The transmitter unit of the enclosed cable is glued directly to the receiver unit of the split unit. The split unit then no longer receives the commands from a remote control, but can be operated via any KNX sensor or via a visualization. The device is put into operation with the ETS. A free ETS APP is available for selecting the split unit model. No auxiliary voltage is required.
