The universal interface has 12 channels, each of which can be configured as an input or output. Conventional buttons and LEDs, e.g. from an operating/display panel, can be connected. The connecting cables can be extended up to 10 m. The contact query voltage and the supply voltage for the LEDs are provided by the device, the series resistors for the LEDs are integrated.
