The CMS current sensors are part of the ABB energy monitoring InSite with the SCU100 and SCU200 control units. The sensors measure TRMS, AC and DC currents (instantaneous, min/max and hold values) and transmit these values to the InSite control unit via a 4-pin ribbon cable.
The sensors can be used with the S800 and S800P high-performance circuit breakers and enable installation by replacing the terminal cover. The closed solid-core sensors have a high measurement accuracy of 0.5% and are less sensitive to EMC effects from adjacent final circuits.
