Parallel and series connection of 3-pole contactors:

• For a star point (3 poles connected in parallel)
• To connect poles in parallel and thus increase the AC load that flows through the current path from the parallel connected poles LP and LY.
The respective conductor cross-section can limit the maximum permissible current. The table below provides further information.

• To connect poles in series and thus increase the DC load that can be switched by the poles LP and LY (only LY16-4 and LY38-4 can be cut to length).
