MS165-B stands for the compact and powerful series with a width of 55 mm for motor protection up to 30 kW (400 V) in railway applications. The devices meet the current railway standards and are therefore suitable for installation in passenger areas and driver's cabs of trains that frequently travel in tunnels and underground. They offer reliable protection in the event of overload and short circuit and have a disconnecting function. They
are operated using a rotary handle with a clear switch position indicator I/TRIP/0; MS165-B also has a short circuit indicator. The rotary handle can be locked in the 0 position using a padlock. Auxiliary, signal and short circuit signaling contacts as well as undervoltage and shunt releases can be installed without tools; these accessories can also be used for MS132-B. 3-phase rails for 125 A allow several motor protection switches to be fed together. Accessories for control cabinet installation and terminal covers complete the range.
MS165-B have trip class 10, are temperature compensated and phase loss sensitive. They meet the international railway standards IEC 60077 in the applicable parts, IEC 61373 (category 1, class B) for shock and vibration and the European safety standard EN 45545-2 for fire and smoke.
