The high-performance circuit breakers in the S800P series protect cables and lines against overload and short circuits. They have a rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 50 kA at 240/415 V AC. They can also be used for voltages up to 400/690 V AC (80 A: 6 kA, 100-125 A: 4.5 kA) and for direct voltages (30 kA). With its thermal tripping mechanism, it offers equally effective protection against overload, as does its electromechanical tripping mechanism against short circuits.
