SR3D Safety Relay – Reliable Safety for Combustion Plants and Maritime Applications

The SR3D is a universally applicable safety relay with three secure relay outputs. It is specifically designed for continuous operation in combustion plants in accordance with the EN 50156-1 standard. Additionally, the device is certified by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) under certification number 32915-06HH, making it suitable for maritime applications. These features make the SR3D an ideal solution for safety-critical applications such as waste incineration plants on ships, where it has proven its reliability for years.

The SR3D offers a variety of safety functions, including emergency stop monitoring, sliding protective door monitoring, light curtain monitoring, and the function of a safe coupling relay. These functions ensure maximum safety in industrial applications. The device complies with a range of international safety standards, including EN 60204-1, DIN EN ISO 13849-1, EN 62061, EN 50156-1, EN 746-2, IEC 61508, and IEC 61511-1.

The compact design, with a width of only 22.5 mm, allows for space-saving installation in control cabinets. With a maximum switching capacity of 8 A at 250 VAC (resistive load), 3 immediate safety contacts, and 1 signal output, the device is perfectly suited for safety-relevant applications. The start behavior can be flexibly selected – either automatic start or manual, monitored start.

The flexible power supply (AC/DC 24 V, AC 115 V, or AC 230 V) and the various connection options – fixed screw terminals, plug-in screw terminals, or push-in spring terminals in a TWIN design – enable easy integration into existing systems. With a safety classification of PL e, Category 4, and SILCL 3, the SR3D offers the highest level of safety for industrial and maritime applications.
