SR3D Safety Relay – Versatile Safety Solution for Combustion Plants and Maritime Applications

The SR3D is a universally applicable safety relay with three secure relay outputs. It is specifically designed for continuous operation in combustion plants according to the EN 50156-1 standard. Certified by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) under certification number 32915-06HH, the SR3D is also approved for maritime applications. This approval makes it a preferred choice for waste incineration plants on ships, where it has been successfully used for years.

The SR3D offers a variety of safety functions, including emergency stop monitoring, sliding protective door monitoring, light curtain monitoring, and the function of a safe coupling relay. It meets the highest safety requirements and is certified according to international standards such as EN 60204-1, DIN EN ISO 13849-1, EN 62061, EN 50156-1, EN 746-2, IEC 61508, and IEC 61511-1.

With a width of only 22.5 mm, the SR3D is particularly compact and allows for space-saving installation in control cabinets. It features three immediate safety contacts, one signal output, and provides a maximum switching capacity of 8 A at 250 VAC resistive load. The start behavior can be flexibly selected to suit the application – either automatic start or manual, monitored start.

Another highlight is the flexible power supply (AC/DC 24 V, AC 115 V, or AC 230 V) and the option to choose between fixed screw terminals, plug-in screw terminals, or push-in spring terminals in a TWIN design. With a safety classification of PL e, Category 4, and SILCL 3, the SR3D meets the highest safety categories required for safety-critical applications.
