SR3D Safety Relay – Universal Safety with Maximum Reliability

The SR3D safety relay provides a flexible and secure solution for protecting machines and systems. With three secure relay outputs, the device ensures that moving machine parts are stopped quickly and reliably in the event of danger. It is designed for use in single- or dual-channel emergency stop circuits as well as for monitoring protective barriers, meeting the highest safety requirements up to PL e and SIL 3.

A key highlight is its specialized design for continuous operation in combustion plants according to EN 50156-1 and EN 746-2, as well as its use on ships. Certified by TÜV Rheinland and Germanischer Lloyd, the SR3D meets all safety standards.

The device offers two start modes – monitored manual start and automatic start – and provides protection against cross-faults and ground faults. With the ability to connect emergency stop buttons, safety switches, non-contact safety switches, and safety components with OSSD outputs, it can be easily integrated into various safety concepts.

In addition, the SR3D monitors downstream contactors or expansion modules through its feedback loop. Another highlight is the cyclic monitoring of the output contacts, which, together with the LED status display, ensures maximum transparency. The use of force-guided relays offers additional security by preventing loss of the safety function due to internal device failures.

The SR3D is designed for installation in control cabinets with a protection class of IP54 and is mounted on a 35-mm DIN rail (EN 60715 TH35). Sufficient heat dissipation must be ensured, and with the AC variant (115 V / 230 V), a distance of at least 10 mm from adjacent devices must be maintained. For defined distances, the use of spacers (ZANDER AACHEN, Art.-Nr. 472596) is recommended.
