Safety Control Device SR3D – Universal Safety Control Device with Three Secure Relay Outputs

The SR3D is a versatile safety control device that enables the safe shutdown of moving machine parts in hazardous situations. With three secure, redundant, and diverse relay outputs, the device ensures the fast and reliable stoppage of machines and systems. Typical applications include single- or dual-channel emergency stop circuits and protective guard monitoring on machinery.

The SR3D is specially designed for use in combustion plants in accordance with EN 50156-1 and EN 746-2, as well as for use on ships. Certifications from TÜV Rheinland and Germanischer Lloyd confirm compliance with the highest safety standards. Thanks to its compact design, the device is ideal for use in control cabinets with a protection rating of at least IP54.

Functions:



• Monitoring and Safe Shutdown:
- The SR3D monitors the status of the emergency stop circuit (e.g., emergency stop button or safety door).
- When the emergency stop circuit is closed, the machine is enabled.
- If the safety function is requested (e.g., by opening the safety door), the SR3D immediately interrupts the release paths, ensuring the machine is safely shut down.


• Self-Monitoring:
- The SR3D detects errors through cyclical self-monitoring.
- Errors are detected no later than during the next request of the safety function, ensuring that single faults do not result in the loss of the safety function.
